  • Government-Backed Council Fraud!

    Just like my post regarding the wasters getting paid to do nothing as Scottish MP’s at Westminster we also have the same thing happening here in Scotland with regard to our local councillors.

    The new proportional system brought in at the last local elections has created a system where local councillors, who are not solely responsible for their own area anymore, are hiding in the system, working full time, or both and getting paid £15,500 per year plus expenses for the privilege. Over half the councillors in Renfrewshire council work full time and are getting paid the same full time rate as the councillors who are “working” full time as councillors.

    The old first past the post system was not perfect but at least you knew who your councillor was and could judge them on what they were doing for your area. Just who is policing this farce!

    One example of this situation is Labours Eadie Devine, this man works full time for Scottish Gas, doesn’t turn up to anything in his area, and yet gets paid the full time wage for being a councillor. He wants the plaudits for not claiming any expenses yet why should he when he is already getting paid full-time to do nothing.


    Another example is SNPs Jim Mitchell who, because he is unable to talk, has been unable to do the job of councillor for years. He can’t phone anyone, other councillors had to do his surgeries, can’t speak at meetings and takes the clerical staff away from helping other councillors because they have to spend so much time on him. The laugh is Jim and some of his colleagues back-stabbed two of the best and most popular, hard-working councillors, Bill Martin and Richard Vassie, out of his party all because the street where he lived was moved into their ward and he wanted to make sure that he got selected for that area because of that. Why should this man be getting paid to do a job he can not do? One of the councillors quite happy to hide in the system with the backing of his party!

    These are just two of the examples of councillors who are getting away with government-backed defrauding of the council-tax payers. Why are councillors getting away with full-time wages when they are not even doing part-time work. Why are the councillors who are supposed to be “working” full time not being monitored like every other normal employee, having to keep a diary of what they are doing which is checked regularly? At the moment these people are getting paid to do nothing and they are getting away with it because as usual no one is monitoring what they are up to!

  • Down The Pan For Labour!

    Anyone wanting to know why things are so bad in Renfrewshire and Scotland just has to log on to the blog of Councillor Terry Kelly. Yes this guy is a Councillor, who would have been kicked out at the last local elections if they hadn’t changed to the new proportional system. Councillor Kelly hung on at the previous election by a handful of votes as the people, after many years, were waking up to what a waste of space he was. Luckily here in Seedhill the people wised up to the fact that his daughter Rayleen was exactly the same after one term as Councillor and promptly voted her out.

    For someone who was only a labourer in Grants Whisky Bond Councillor Kelly lives in the delusional world where he is a political heavyweight. Overweight through laziness and greed maybe, but certainly politically inept! Here is a guy who has the cheek to keep slagging off, whether you love or hate him, Alex Salmond the best politician there is in Scotland at the moment. Funny Gordon Brown would rather run a mile than debate with Salmond and yet Councillor Kelly would not last two seconds before being humiliated. He also has the cheek to slag off other left-wing socialists just because they left the Labour party and joined, or set up other left wing parties whilst claiming that THEY have no principles.

    The only people left in the Labour party are people like Councillor Kelly, who back-stabbed the previous well-respected Labour councillor for his ward, so that he could get his snout in the trough. That is what is left in Labour, the look after thyself brigade. All the decent people have left now and that is why they have no workers left to do anything for their party at elections – just look at Glenrothes where they had to pay, and bus up from England, students to do their work for them! Quite similar to the SNP here in Renfrewshire in fact where they have to pay schoolboys to do their work for them at elections because of similar selfish back-stabbing reasons.

    The Liberals used to be a major party in Scotland until they put themselves, their party and the unionist trough before Scotland and its people. The same goes for the Tories. These parties are fringe parties now with regard to Scotland! With councillors like Terry Kelly, numpty Labour MSP’s who showed just how useless again they are this week with regard to the Scottish budget vote in the Scottish parliament and the useless Scottish Labour MP’s at Westminster helping Gordon Brown destroy the economy, again all who put themselves and their party first, it is now the turn of the Labour party to go down the pan to become just another fringe party in Scotland!

  • Nationalism Is Normal!

    In every other country in the world the people are nationalist, it is normal. In these countries the people generally work together for the benefit of their people and their country.

    What is it with Scotland? In no other country in the world would you get people voting for,or joining, political parties that are funded by another country and that includes England. Yet here in Scotland we have people who put their English-funded parties before their country, people who are in a cult when it comes to their party and who are as a result quite fanatically happy to trash their own countrymen and country for the benefit of that party. Only in Scotland would you get these same cultists who think that it is good for their country to give up it’s sovereignty to another country who would not, and has no intention of, doing the same when it comes to Europe.

    Now more than ever, with Labour having bankrupted the British economy, the people of Scotland should be working together for the benefit of the Scottish people. Nowhere else would you get people giving away their money to another family when your own is in so much need of it. It is time we sorted out our own country, dealt with our own poverty, created jobs for our own people. It is time to put the people of this country before any political party. It is time to become just another normal country in this world! Nationalism is normal!

  • Send In The Clowns!

    Another one you could not make up! Here we have the Royal Mail which used to be very profitable. In steps the Labour party who wanted to privatise it but did not because of the huge opposition to doing so and it being dropped after Mandelson having to resign after being caught in another of his crooked deals. So Labour does not let the Royal Mail put up the price of stamps for years and allows the private sector to, not only take away the most profitable business mailings, but allows them to use the Royal Mail to actually do the delivering for them. The Labour party then sets up a commission to look into the Royal Mail which finds just what the Labour party wants it to find – allow the private sector into the Royal Mail!

    That’s funny it is that crook Mandelson who wanted to privatise the Royal Mail in the first place. It is him and the Labour party who has got it into this position and now are intent on not only partly privatising it but in reality getting it halfway there so that hopefully there will be less opposition when they fully privatise it.
    They are now trying to claim that it is modern technology that is killing the Post Office – what a load of rubbish – it is Mandelson and the Labour party! Modern technology is also adding to the mail with the likes of e-Bay, Amazon etc with more and more goods being sent as result of the internet.

    The reality is the Labour party have got the British economy into such a state that they want to sell off half the Royal Mail to use the money from that, plus the £22 Billion in the Royal Mail pension fund that they are eyeing up, to cook the books again to try and make them look less bankrupt. The fact that this pension fund also has a £7 Billion defecit does not mean anything to Mandelson and the Labour party – as far as they are concerned you can pay this off along with all the other debt that they have got us in to in the near future.

  • You Couldn’t Make It Up!

    Yes you couldn’t make it up – Here we have it the day after this shockingly inept Labour government states their intention to hammer the unemployed in order to get them into jobs when the jobs market is disappearing and the jobless total is rising at a record rate we have one of Labour’s unemployed wasters mentioned in the previous post, Jim Murphy a man who has never worked in his life, stating that Scotland’s place in the UK is a “major plus” in the economic downturn. He goes on to the usual drivel about how we rely on England etc.

    This numpty claims that the UK union is about pooling “resources, reward and risk”. Scotland’s reward is the pensioners dying and the poor in Scotland freezing because of the high gas and power prices as we export most of our resources to England to reward the rich with lower prices there. Our reward as an oil producing nation is high petrol prices, an obscene amount of poverty and we get more of our fair share of the risk with the UK’s illegal weapons of mass destruction being parked in the centre of our population.

    Of course Jim and his fellow unemployed Scottish Westminster MP’s will not be losing any sleep over any of this as long as you the people are happy to continue to pay them to do nothing but con you out of your money, your resources and your country and as long as we have a useless and foreign-owned press that lets them get away with it!

  • Wakey! Wakey! Scotland!

    Are the people of Scotland more stupid or useless than the people of any other country? It seems like it! Why does our country of five million people need three parliaments to run us? Every other country in the EU has two parliaments running them – the non-members such as Norway only have one.

    Time to waken up Scotland we have too many politicians running this country, too many getting paid to do absolutely NOTHING! Take the Scottish Westminster MP’s – in total these wasters of all parties are costing you the tax-payers around £30 million pounds per year and all they do is interfere in English matters. How many Doctors, Nurses or Police could we employ instead of throwing it away on these wasters? How many operations could this pay for?

    Here in Scotland all they do is spend their time interfering in things that have nothing to do with them, Douglas Alexander MP with regard to South School here in Paisley – what a joke! The money that is being wasted on him could keep this school open. You have another waste of space MP, Jim Sheridan spending his time putting forward motions about X-Factor and football.

    If you really need the proof that these MP’s are a waste of space and money then look no further than the recent Glenrothes bye-election where the Labour party and their candidate fought their entire campaign on Council and Scottish Parliament issues. What are these Scottish MP’s doing on full-time wages when they are not even doing part-time work? Wakey! Wakey! Scotland!

  • Major Hypocricy In Action Too!

    For years I thought that having no principles was something that you took for granted from the unionist political parties with regard to the Scottish electorate given the fact that they are not even Scottish – more about that in another post. But with regard to the SNP councillors locally what a shower, not happy with back-stabbing their own councillors and activists out of the party in order to jostle for the safest seats and positions of power – they are now doing the same with regard to the Renfrewshire electorate.

    Absolutely no principles, for years these local SNP councillors stood by the people and opposed the Labour party with regard to their closures, PFI etc and now that they are in power they have shown what a bunch of liars and chancers they are. It is disgusting enough to see them posing to get their pictures taken with regard to the PFI schools, but with regard to South School what an embarrassment. What they are trying to save here is peanuts with regard to their overall budget each year.

    It gets worst! For years they have opposed letting supermarkets open up close to Paisley Town Centre because this would be the death of what is left of the shops there. To prove that they are just as bad as the Labour shower they opposed they are now going to allow the opening of a Tesco, nearer the town centre than all the parties have opposed in the past, at the bottom of Renfrew Road.

  • Major Hypocricy In Action!

    What an excellent subject to start a blog with on the dishonesty of politicians and political parties is the situation here in Renfrewshire with regard to the council wishing to close South Primary School.
    This is a classic case of the dishonest politicians jumping on the bandwagon with regard to the parents and teachers trying to save this school. Here we have Labour Councillors such as Terry Kelly, MP’s like Douglas Alexander and MSP’s like Hugh Henry having the barefaced cheek to show up and show their false concern for the parents, teachers and pupils of this one school in Renfrewshire when they completely ignored these same people when they were closing numerous Schools, Sports Centres, Community Centres etc across the whole of Renfrewshire.
    I wish the parents and teachers well in their fight to save their school but remember these politicians are only looking after themselves with their false concerns. These are the same people who are closing your post offices and are going to privatise it!
